The technology in Golf Clubs has changed a lot from a time with Persimmon woods and blade irons. Now we have Titanium drivers as big as an old wooden tennis racquet as well as oversize irons, hybrid clubs and a plethora of wedges to choose from.
The question a lot of golfers ask is; "What clubs should I use?" The reality is no one can truly tell you what clubs you need by just looking at you. You need to be properly fitted. This is true for all golfers, regardless of your ability or how much you want to spend. Whether it's $300 or $3000 on your next set, you need to get the clubs that best suit you at the price you're happy to pay.

The Golf House takes all the guesswork out of buying a set of clubs and ensures you get the best clubs for you at the price you want to pay. Best of all it's FREE. All Golf House staff are fully trained in custom fitting so you can have complete confidence in what they do.
Remember this, the most important thing when buying clubs is not the clubs, it's YOU.
The Golf House matches your individual physical and swing characteristics to over 4,000 club, shaft, lie and loft combinations from all the major brands, using a combination of the Zelocity Launch Monitor system and Fitting Carts from all the major equipment suppliers.
Whatever level of golfer you are, The Golf House can find the right clubs for you at the price you want to pay -
As used by the Nick Faldo and Jack Nicklaus Golf Academies, the Zelocity PureLaunch is a brand new club-fitting system that is far more accurate and reliable than anything else we have come across in our travels. Unlike other Launch monitors that use a camera to measure your shot information, the Zelocity measures the club and ball using radar which allows more measurements to be taken and being far more reliable at the same time. Some of the information that the Zelocity gathers include:
Basically, this piece of equipment tells you much more than you would simply see from hitting the ball on the course. That is why many golf Academies in the U.S. use the ZELOCITY outside on their range, because you can't see exactly what is happening to the ball just by looking at the flight after you have struck it.
Proper club length is no small thing. Using an improper length club makes it difficult for you to hit the Sweet Zone consistently, resulting in a loss of distance and accuracy . The Club Fitter will observe your posture and hand position as you grip a standard length club. After finding a club that appears to be the right length for you, the Club Fitter will apply face impact tape on the club. Now you'll hit a few shots to observe your ball strike location pattern. From this, the Club Fitter will make final recommendations for your ideal club length.
The lie angle of your clubs is the angle between the ground and the shaft when your club sits flat on the turf . If your lie angle is off , so are your shots. If it's too flat you'll generally hit shots to the right of your intended target. If it's too upright, you'll generally hit shots to the left. Your Club Fitter will apply sole tape to the club that matches your ideal length and have you hit a few shots. From here, adjustments are made on-site at our Clubs In An Hour workshop.
Finding the proper shaft and flex for your swing is crucial for longer, more consistent shots. A shaft that is too stiff or too flexible for your particular swing will result in a loss of distance and/or accuracy. Your Club Fitter will analyse your swing and swing speed and use the information to determine the shaft flex that gives you the best combination of distance and control.
Determining the proper grip size and type for your clubs is an important and often overlooked part of the custom fitting process. The grip size and type influences the feel, distance and control that a player experiences with the club. If the standard grip size is correct, the middle two fingertips will barely touch the heel position of the hand. If the fingertips are separated from the heel portion of the hand, the grip is too large. If the fingertips are digging into the heel of the palm, the grip is too small.
Once all of these factors have been compiled together from the ZELOCITY launch monitor data, to static fitting components such as shaft length, lie angle, shaft flex and grip size, The Golf House and its fitting staff can custom fit you into the correct golf club or set of clubs that meet your personal requirements not what is the norm.
Who say's that a set of golf clubs has to be a Driver 3 and 5 wood, 3 iron to sand wedge and putter standard size and grip.
90% of customers fitted by Golf House Staff have some custom fit non-standard component to the golf set.
When buying a house, you wouldn't just look at a picture in the paper and then buy the house, you would make an appointment with a real estate agent to visit the house , look at the house to see if it meets your requirements, obtain a building report at if everything is OK then you would put an offer in and buy the house.
Buying your golf clubs is exactly the same.
At The Golfhouse there are literally thousand's of driver and iron clubhead combinations from Taylormade, Ping, Callaway Titleist and Nickent to go along with shaft options from the most-respected and most sought-after shaft manufacturers in the marketplace, including Aldila, Fujikura, Grafalloy, UST and Mitsubishi Rayon meaning you have thousands of configurations to choose from .
